This may be a ghost story or funny story depending the cause for this but here it goes…

After seeing Insidious I got home and was the only one up. My dog comes out of the bedroom to greet me and lays down. An hour later or so I’m tooling around on the internet and the dog gets up, walks to the corner and starts staring at the wall. Then he starts growling and backing up. It freaked me out. Now the other more humorous side of things is that he is about 90% blind from diabetes and I’m sure he just “thought” he was looking at something. Either way I went to bed and never spoke of it again….until now 🙂

ajea - 1/1/2012

I’m not sure if it’s a ghost or faulty electronics but my ceiling fan will occasionally randomly turn on in the middle of the night.

Chris Giroux - 1/1/2012

I am terrified of the dark. Not sure why still, but there you go.

Tess Craft - 1/1/2012

While in college, some friends and I made the tour of the creepy/haunted sites around the metro Detroit area – The Northville Tunnels, the cemetery at Eloise, the old train station on Michigan Ave. and others. We never saw anything to suggest actual ghosts, but managed to scare the bejesus out of ourselves while doing it, all while seeing some of the neatest ruined architectural treasures the city has to offer.

confidence73 - 1/1/2012

When I was a child I used to sleepover at my grandparent’s house. One night, something woke me out of my sleep. I open my eyes & sat up in the bed and there was this little Irishman with a top hat sitting on the desk across the bedroom. I freaked out & couldn’t speak because of the fear!! He then he started to do a little dance on top of the desk while smiling at me. I quickly ducked back under the covers & finally SCREAMED for my grandma.

From her bedroom down the hall she yelled, “What’s going on in there?” and I told her “I just saw a ghost”. She’s hard of hearing, so she said “You saw a GOAT”? I said. “NO, A GHOST!” She said, “Well what does it want?” “I DON’T KNOW”, I answered.

She decides to come to the room and turns the on lights. I pull the covers down from over my head to take a peek and the ghost is gone. She asked where’s this ghost? “Gone.” She thought I made it up and told me to go back to sleep. To this day, I’ve felt really uneasy visiting the house…

Russ Tenale - 1/1/2012

I was at a friend’s house with just me and this girl (at least on the upper level of the house) Nothing really happened but we both commented on how it looked like there was movement in the kitchen just from some subtle lighting or shadows that would suggest someone was in there. What made it freaky was when I saw it I didn’t say anything until she essentially removed any doubt I had when she brought it up herself.

slml1219 - 1/1/2012

Basement noises, Creaky walls, unexplained lights going on and off, Haunted house?????

Ryan1476 - 1/2/2012

i hear alot noise where i stay and all times a night

Bob - 1/2/2012

I was at a buddies house in birmingham years ago that was supposedly haunted. If fact, the previous owners apparently sold it because they couldn’t take the ghosts any longer. Well, we were the only ones home one night and we came up from the basement and all of the dining room chairs were sitting on top of the dining room table. They were all perfectly lined up. My buddy freaked out and called his mom to tell her about it and she just said to go in the basement and shut the door til they got home. We heard a series of loud bangs and a scream over the next couple hours prior to his parents coming home. I avoided his house from then on. Freaky.

canadianflag - 1/3/2012

I’ve never seen a ghost that I’m aware of but I have experienced odd sensations while sleeping. I remember one time I thought my husband was standing near the bed to say goodbye before going to work and when I woke up he wasn’t there. He was already at work! Don’t know what it was, but someone or something was watching over me, maybe my “Guardian Angel”!

tweety101 - 1/3/2012

I was over my friends apartment when she was going to Wayne State we were playing on one of those boards.Anyways according to the board there was a ghost of a female who was murder in that apartment in the 20’S, before going on the board we used to hear sounds that to not sound normal in that apartment.

Electricblue717 - 1/4/2012

While in the US Air Force me and another airman were assigned to a regular security detail from 2300-0600, that required us to survey the inside and outside of this old large NATO World War II aircraft hangar located in Pisa, Italy. During our hours of surveillance I/we noticed a suspicious object moving towards the dark corner of the Northeast section of the hangar- bay area. When I shined the light directly at the figure/object it became transparent. When I/we reached the area where I/we seen this vision the air was a little breezy and cool. The WOW Factor hit us both. No other strange
occurrences happened the rest of the two week mission. WHO YOU GONNA CALL???

Stacey Cook - 1/4/2012

When my daughter was about to turn one, my grandmother was very very ill. So in my thoughts I told her “if your going to die today (my daughters birthday) please watch over her”. She died on my daughters birthday at the time she was born. Years later, my daughter told me “grandma came to see me” and she described things about her that she never knew!

some times when the wife and i go to chinesse the tea pot decideds it wants to move around the table with no one touching it.

susansteele - 1/4/2012

I saw flying ghosts at a reastaurant in New York once (but it could have been the drinks..) and spent the night with a Civil War soldier ghost in Virginia, in a church parsonage. It was cool and creepy.

Darren - 1/5/2012

After seeing The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, it was so long that I lost track of the plot. It became hard to understand what was going on. Also there was no chemistry between the 2 lead actors, since one was twice the age of the other. It wasn’t believable and detracted from my enjoyment of the movie.

Stephanie Rooks - 1/5/2012

About 15 years ago, my mother moved into a new house (new for her). One day, I was looking in the hallway closet when I sensed something. I turned around quickly and saw a faint outline of a person in smoky-white – it fizzled out really quick, like I’d surprised it. What’s interesting is, I’m so afraid of some scary books I’ve read that I have to keep them in a drawer when I sleep (so I’m easily spooked) but the feeling I had from that “apparition” was more like it knew me and wanted to say something to me. I wanted it to reappear, I was so sure it was someone I knew.

mr0x - 1/5/2012

When I was really young, I saw a glowing apparition near a pond close to where I used to live. It was dark, and I was looking out my window from the second floor from where I could see the pond. I saw it from far away but it was unmistakably a tall figure, glowing dimly and slowly drifting above the pond. I don’t know how long it was there but since I was frozen in terror, it seemed like a long time. And then, it just disappeared.

From that day on, I never dared look at the pond at dark until we moved from that house (for unrelated reasons) a few years later.

I wasn’t the only one who saw the apparition. Fully grown men would talk of the glowing man who would pace around at the pond.

S. L - 1/5/2012

I once was walking back to my dorm with my girlfriend and we saw a girl in a white gown running across a field in front of the dorm. We both looked at each other and asked the other if they had seen it. By the time we looked up again, the girl in the gown was nowhere to be seen. There’s no way this girl could have run over 100 yards in that timespan!

Every time I take that path, I look for the girl in a white gown, but have yet to see her again.

robt4848 - 1/5/2012

Our house were we lived in as kids was over a 100 years old. When I was 3 year old, I heard foot steps in the hallway during the night but no one was there.

rychepet - 1/6/2012

When I was about 7, I was in the car with my family. I experienced the most acute sense of deja vu even though I’d never been on that road before.

ckc0684 - 1/6/2012

My house is haunted the tv turns off and on daily i dont know what to do and the doors open in the middle of the night my wife doesnt want to stay there anymore. I really need help like a priest.

Not4sale1 - 1/6/2012

I have few ghost experiences, but I do have a good ghost joke!

An expert is giving a seminar on the supernatural. Getting a feel for the audience, he asks “How many of you believe in ghosts?” About 80 people raise their hands.

“That’s a good start I suppose. Those of you who believe in ghosts, how many have actually seen a ghost?” About 30 people raise their hands.

“That’s good. I’m really glad you’re taking this seriously. Ok, has anyone here ever talked to a ghost?” About a dozen people raise their hands.

“That’s a great response. Has anyone ever touched a ghost?” Two people raise their hands. “That’s fantastic. But let me ask you one last question… have any of you ever made love to a ghost?”

One guy in the back raises his hand. The professor is astonished. He removes his glasses, takes a step back, and says, “Son, in all the years I’ve been giving this lecture, no one has ever actually claimed to have slept with a ghost. Why don’t you come up here and tell us about it.”

The redneck replies with a nod and a grin, and begins to make his way up to the podium. The professor says, “Well, tell us what it’s like to have sex with a ghost.”

The guy replies, “Ghost? Oh… I thought you said ‘goat’!”

Marius - 1/6/2012

I see dead people……

linlady - 1/7/2012

Never really saw any ghosts or anything but once when I was asleep I felt a presence by my bed so strong that I tried to wake up but couldn’t. I felt myself kicking trying to keep it away but I just assumed I was dreaming. When I finally woke up, all my covers were on the floor. I guess I wasn’t totally dreaming after all.

Brian Blottie - 1/8/2012

My only paranormal experience involved a phantom rat running into my friend’s room. We both saw something scurry, but when we moved stuff, there wasn’t anything there or anyplace for something to go. Luh-luh-LAME!

brendavt - 1/9/2012

Clanking noises discouraged my siblings and I from playing in the basement.

Karen Zahn - 1/10/2012

karen the deadeye……love checking out phantoms

rychepet - 1/10/2012

When we were kids and did something wrong…we would joke amongst ourselves saying, “It was the NOT-ME ghost” (never worked)

Eddie - 1/11/2012

who’s afraid of ghosts?i’m afraid of ghost busters!!

Chris - 1/11/2012

A friend and I were driving down silver bell road late at night and a werewolf (or a guy wearing a wereworlf mask) ran out of the corn field in front of us and stopped in the middle of the road. FREAKED US OUT. He actually ran up to the car and slammed his hands (or paws) on our hood…screamed and came around to the drivers door. I FLOORED it out of there and never turned back! It was scary as &$*#@!!

Luis Rodriguez - 1/12/2012

When I was a young boy I was at my uncles house I went into the basement which the ground was half cement and dirt on the dirt side I thought I saw somebody walking in the basement. I seen that a couple of times

Kandace Meade - 1/16/2012

When I was a little girl we lived in a house built in 1921. One day I was sitting in my bedroom which was located next to the bathroom in the hall and all of a sudden the water turned on. At first I thought someone had turned the water on but when I got up to look no one was in the bathroom. I turned the water off and a few minutes later the hot water turned back on and the door to the bathroom closed on it’s own. A few nights later I was in my bed trying to fall asleep and I felt someone touching my face when I opened my eyes there was a lady standing over me and she smiled and disappeared. On another night I was going to walk down the stairs and I was pushed by an unknown presence. This went on for a few years weird things would happen that my parents, siblings and myself all noticed. We asked the neighbor that lived next door what happened in the house and she let us know that the original owners had died in the home. Since we moved out the house has been sold several times.

PJ Edwards - 1/16/2012

When I was in college, me and my friends stayed up late one night listening to songs in reverse on the web. We were looking to freak each other out. Then we started to play OUIJA. It was really crazy. The words ended up spelling hello.

Lesa Divito - 1/23/2012

We lived in a house in Detroit, the former owner passed away from cancer. Everyday My son or I would find dimes in the weirdest places( window sills, bathroom cup holders etc.). My live in boyfriend at the time would have books fall from a shelf above him, personal items moved. And he never found and money. periodically cupboard doors would be opened in the night. I thought it was cool. My ex hated it he was always spooked out lol.we have moved since then and always giggle when i find a dime anywhere!!!!

Tiffany Harding - 1/23/2012

I went to Kings Island during the Halloween Haunt, and there is a ghost story that the park has a little girl ghost that lives in Kings Island, and she likes to go up to the Eiffel Tower all the time. I was going through the different haunted areas in the park, and I had finished the tour. I was walking around the park to get some refreshments, and all of a sudden, I saw this little girl in a blue dress skipping around. At first I thought the park was playing a joke on the people by having this little girl skipping through the park. I mentioned it to the girl at the concession booth, and she said they do not hire little kids for the Halloween Haunt. I started feeling creepy at this point and started walking back to where my friend was, and the little girl popped out from the bushes and just stared at me. I think I ran the 50 yard dash in 4 seconds. I took off running, and started screaming. Everyone to this day thinks I made the story up, but I know what I saw. This was the little girl who lost her life in a factory fire 50 years ago, and she really does hang out at the King Island Amusement Park. My heart was racing and beating fast the rest of the night. I know what I saw, and it was a ghost!!!!

Aisha Winbush - 1/23/2012

I was home alone because my dad was at work and I was 16 sitting in my bedroom on my computer and I kept hearing something like people were whispering, it wasn’t nothing new because I would here noise a lot because the condominiums I lived in was haunted…so out of nowhere my door quickly but slightly opens and the shoe rack I had hanging on my door went flying across my room and the door slammed shut and then I started heard crying outside my bedroom door with a steady tapping as if someone was trynna get let in, so I jumped up grabbed the phone next to my computer and propped the computer chair up to the door, turned my light on and called my friend and didn’t get off the phone with her til my dad got home from work…I was sooo scared, after that night, I would hear the crying or the tv and lights and tv would get turned on out of nowhere..My dad would hear and see the creepy stuff too, thankfully I don’t live there no more because I will never forget that scary stuff.
