Kathryn Bigelow‘s untitled Navy SEAL Team 6 movie (formerly called Kill Bin Laden) will open October 12th, 2012 from Sony Pictures Entertainment.  [Deadline.com]

The Descendants, directed by Alexander Payne and starring George Clooney, will now be released to limited theaters on November 23rd by Fox Searchlight. [Deadline.com]

The Woman in Black, starring Daniel Radcliffe, will now be released February 3rd from CBS Films. [Deadline.com]

G.I.Joe: Retaliation is the official title to the G.I.Joe sequel. Paramount Pictures has set a June 29, 2012 release date for the film. [Press Release].

Brad Furman will direct an untitled feature film detailing the life of drug lord Pablo Escobar for Stone Village Pictures. Matt Aldrich is writing the script. [The Hollywood Reporter]

Drew Pearce is writing the adaptation of Peter Tomasi and Keith Champagne’s comic book The Mighty for Paramount Pictures. Story details a Superman-like character and his police liason who suspects the hero may be behind a series of murders. Mary Parent, Cale Boyter and JC Spink are producing. [Heat Vision]

Tex Davis has sold his comedy spec script Virgin Territory to Motion Picture Corporation of American. The movie is a buddy comedy finds a father pairing  with a dorky teen neighbor to save the virginity of his daughter. Beau Bauman, Matt Stuecken, Brad Krevoy and Brad Jenke are producing. Rob Kazinsky has been cast, and Willem Dafoe is in talks for director Guillermo del Toro’s alien-invasion movie Pacific Rim for Legendary Pictures. Dafoe would play a scientist. Kazinsky is part of the strike team resisting the aliens. The would join Charlie Hunnam, Idris Elba, Charlie Day and Max Martini in the cast. [Variety]

Antoine Fuqua is attached to direct an adaptation of  John Huddy’s non-fiction book Storming Las Vegas: How a Cuban-Born, Soviet-Trained Commando Took Down The Strip to the Tune of Five World Class Hotels, Three Armored Cars, and Millions of Dollars for Summit Entertainment. Lorenzo di Bonaventura is producing. [Deadline.com]

Kevin Bacon will join the cast of director Robert Schwentke’s adaptation of Peter Lenkov’s comic book R.I.P.D. for Universal Pictures. He’ll play the villain against Ryan Reynolds and Jeff Bridges’ buddy cop team of supernatural officers of an after-life police force. [Variety]
