Jorge Dorado will direct the fantasy thriller Mindscape for Ombra Films, a new Spanish production house formed by Jaume Collet-Serra and Juan Sola. Guy Holmes write the film about a man who can enter other people’s memories. [Deadline.com]

Frank Grillo has been added to the cast of director Stephen Frears’ gambling comedy Lay The Favorite. He joins Rebecca Hall, Bruce Willis, Catherine Zeta-Jones and Joshua Jackson in the fact-based story of professional gambler Beth Raymer. [The Hollywood Reporter]

Greta Gerwig and Orlando Bloom may be the leads in director Daryl Wein’s romantic comedy Lola Versus. Gerwig is signed and Bloom is negotiating for the Fox Searchlight movie about a woman who is dumped weeks before he wedding. Todd Stein and Nathan Parker wrote the script about an air-traffic controller who uncovers a mystery linked to a strange phenomenon that causes an near miss at 2:22. Wes Anderson is currently directing Moonrise Kingdom for Indian Paintbrush.
