Jorge Dorado will direct the fantasy thriller Mindscape for Ombra Films, a new Spanish production house formed by Jaume Collet-Serra and Juan Sola. Guy Holmes write the film about a man who can enter other people’s memories. []

Frank Grillo has been added to the cast of director Stephen Frears’ gambling comedy Lay The Favorite. He joins Rebecca Hall, Bruce Willis, Catherine Zeta-Jones and Joshua Jackson in the fact-based story of professional gambler Beth Raymer. [The Hollywood Reporter]

Greta Gerwig and Orlando Bloom may be the leads in director Daryl Wein’s romantic comedy Lola Versus. Gerwig is signed and Bloom is negotiating for the Fox Searchlight movie about a woman who is dumped weeks before he wedding. Anna Faris has officially been offered the female lead in director Larry Charles’ The Dictator for Paramount Pictures. The film stars Sacha Baron Cohen in dual roles. []

Katrina Bowden has joined the cast of pretty young fish food in director John Gulager’s cheeky horror sequel Piranha 3DD for Dimension Films. The movie releases November 23rd. [Press Release]

Armie Hammer will topline director Paul Currie’s psychological thriller 2:22 for Lightstream Pictures. Todd Stein and Nathan Parker wrote the script about an air-traffic controller who uncovers a mystery linked to a strange phenomenon that causes an near miss at 2:22. Plans are to film in Sydney this year. []

Paul W.S. Anderson will direct the period adventure movie Pompeii about historic destruction of the Roman city after the eruption of Mt. Vesuvius. [The Hollywood Reporter]

Wes Anderson is currently directing Moonrise Kingdom for Indian Paintbrush. The movie stars Bruce Willis, Edward Norton, Bill Murray, Fran McDormand, Tilda Swinton and Jason Schwartzman and focuses a New England island town in the 1960s turned upside down when a young boy and girl try to run away together. Focus Features just acquired the worldwide rights to the movie. []

Ashton Moio and Kara Petersen will play minor roles in Gary Ross’ adaptation of Suzanne Collins’ books The Hunger Games for Lionsgate. [Heat Vision]

Barry Levinson is in negotiations to direct Fiore Films’ Gotti: Three Generations. The movie lost its director last month. []

Justin Reardon will make his feature directing debut on Convention. Christopher Painter wrote the comedy script involving a national packaging convention in which an inventor debuts the physics-defying 5-sided box. Paul Schiff and Tai Duncan are producing. Reardon is known for the famous “Wassup” TV commercials. []

Lizzy Caplan, Kirsten Dunst, Adam Scott and Casey Wilson are all set to star in writer/director Leslye Headland’s Bachelorette. Will Ferrell and Adam McKay are producing the movie about women who become the bridesmaids of a girl they tormented in high school. [The Hollywood Reporter]

Larry David has been added to the cast of Peter and Bobby Farrelly’s The Three Stooges for 20th Century Fox. The comic will play Mother Mengele, the nun who runs the orphanage where the titular buffoons are raised. []
