Carrie-Anne Moss and Malcolm McDowell are set to appear in director Michael J. Bassett’s 3D video game horror pic Silent Hill: Revelation for Sony Pictures Entertainment. The film is currently filming in Toronto with a cast that includes Kit Harington, Radha Mitchell, Sean Bean and Deborah Kara Unger. [Heat Vision]

Hugh Jackman is being courted by Universal Pictures to abandon his currently-directorless superhero sequel The Wolverine and jump on board as the male lead in director Rupert Sanders’ Snow White and the Huntsman. Kristen Stewart and Charlize Theron are already on board. Hossein Amini may be doing some script doctoring.  20th Century Fox has their mutant bases covered with the upcoming X-Men: First Class so they may be willing to delay Wolverine. [Deadline.com]

William Fichtner will appear in director Neill Blomkamp’s Elysium for Sony Picture Entertainment. He joins Jodie Foster, Matt Damon, Wagner Moura and Sharlto Copley in the cast of the science fiction film. Details are scarce on the story, save for a teaser clip which focuses on the discovery of some kind of mutant carcass that bears the stamp of approval from a government agency. Attack the Block will see release in the U.S. courtesy of Sony Screen Gems. Director Joe Cornish’s “inner city vs out space” comedy science fiction adventure has been getting great buzz online thanks to a good trailer. It recently picked up the 2011 Audience Award at SXSW. [Heat Vision]

Walter Hill is one of the directors being considered to take the reigns of Sylvester Stallone’s Headshot, which recently saw the walk-off of director Wayne Kramer. Stallone met with Hill but is also talking to other directors. [Deadline.com]

Linsday Lohan is once again rumored to be reading for a part in director Zack Snyder’s Superman movie for Warner Bros. A similar rumor was floated back in February. This one is attributed to “a source close to the actress.” [RadarOnline]

Scott LaStaiti has picked up the U.S. remake rights to the Columbian war/horror film El Paramo (The Squad). The original movie focuses on a squad investigating strange occurrence at a military base involving a mysterious woman who makes them lose their grip on reality. [Variety (Paywall)]

Rob Riggle may join the cast of directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller’s 21 Jump Street for Columbia Pictures. Already on board are Jonah Hill, Channing Tatum and Ice Cube. Neal Moritz is producing. [Heat Vision]

Jay Baruchel will appear in director David Cronenberg’s adaptation of Don DeLillo’s novel Cosmopolis. The cast already includes Robert Pattinson, Samantha Morton, Juliette Binoche, Paul Giamatti, Mathieu Amalric and Sarah Gadon. [Deadline.com]

Sofia Vergara is in discussions to appear in the Farrelly Brothers’ The Three Stooges. Sean Hayes and Will Sasso are playing Larry and Curly in the film. [The Hollywood Reporter]

Yaya DaCosta and Colm Meaney will appear in director Terry George’s crime comedy Whole Lotta Sole. They join Brendan Fraser, Martin McCann and David O’Hara among the cast. Thomas Gallagher co-wrote the script with George. [Variety (Paywall)]

Maggie Grace will reprise her role as Liam Neeson’s daughter in producer Luc Besson’s Taken 2 for EuropaCorp. Olivier Megaton is looking to direct. [Deadline.com]
